The romantic mood of this 1890 Queen Anne house has been preserved by new owners Debbie and Jerry Squitieri, who still offer the popular “Romance & Roses” package—including, what else, a bouquet of long-stemmed roses and handmade Victorian chocolates. The par-br’s hand-carved mahogany fireplace and stairs are set off against cheery pinks and a cabbage-rose motif. The Primrose Pink room has a pink claw-foot tub right in the room. Another favorite has a four-poster bed and two wing chairs cozied up to a gas fireplace. Break-fast is served in rooms on request.
Set on Flemington’s busy Main Street, the inn is within the city’s historic district, close to plenty of outlet shopping, and about 15 minutes from Lambertville and New Hope.
