Looking beyond the windows, you can see (and hear) the ocean from most rooms. (The inn is just a half block from the dune-backed beach.) Unfortunately, the modern motels across the street generate noise on Saturday nights in summer that, according to Jane, makes it seems like “42nd Street in a bathing suit.” Air conditioners mask the sound.
A multicourse breakfast is served in the dining room in winter, while in warmer months guests and lighter fare move out to the wraparound veranda, where two rooms have private entrances. Other activities on your not-so-busy agenda might include walking, cycling, roller blading, or taking the brick path to the gazebo for some serious seaside relaxation.
