Cheap Bed and Breakfast in New Jersey: Pierrot by the Sea, Beach Haven

Innkeepers Jane Loehwing and daughter Jennifer were living in North Jersey when, in 1994, in search of peace and quiet and to take on the challenge of run-ning a business, they bought this ivory-colored B&B on Long Beach Island.
The restoration of the 1865 inn is accurate to the high-Victorian era, with the exception ofa 12-foot-tall mahogany reproduction of a bedroom set that a previous owner, a professional Victorian restorer, made to see how closely he could match the style. (He matched it perfectly.) There are intricately carved walnut bedroom sets, Oriental rugs, and multiple wallpapers in the bedrooms— but oh, the stained glass.
A handful of original stained-glass win-dows remain, but the showstoppers all over the house were made by the previous owner. The front door has a beautiful palette of vibrant colors, the dining room has a stained-glass tree, and bedroom windows blend with each color scheme. One in a front bedroom glows at daybreak, and even the outside shower has its own stained glass.
