You’ll find it easy to lose yourself in the past in the meticulously restored 1760 Hudson Valley stone house where this inn’s living room, dining room (where breakfast is served), library, solarium, and canopied decks are located. Americana is everywhere. The place at High Falls even claims its own Early American ghost, friendly Captain Fred.
And the new hosts, Judy and Bill Klock, are friendly, too. The inn’s guest rooms are in the 1820 Carriage House, which is in front of the main stone house. The romantic rooms upstairs were once a hayloft, and the original beams have been left exposed. One downstairs room has a brass bed and a tree growing through the middle of a private deck. The upstairs rooms have private balconies.
