There aren’t any real pigs in residence, and the Federal-style building wasn’t
built on a hillnamed for swine, but owner Wendy O’Brien’s affection for porkers is evident throughout Pig Hill Inn: There’s a painted-piggy floor cloth in the entry-way, and folk-art pig carvings are set amid antiques throughout the inn’s three floors. Guests enter the inn by way of an antiques store on the first floor.
Each guest room is unique. Room 1 imparts a rustic feeling, with Indian rugs, antlers hung above the fireplace, and a settee made from birch logs. Room 6 con-tains a full four-poster bed and inviting burgundy wing chairs, and Room 7 has its own wood-burning stove and a stun-ning antique pine armoire.
