On busy Union Avenue, just across the street from Saratoga’s thoroughbred racetrack, stands this 1880 Victorian home with a scallop-edge roof and basket-weave porches shaded by green-and-white stripe awnings. Owned by Kate Benton and Steve Ramirez, the inn is named in honor of Kate and her five sisters (each room is named after a different sister). Kate is aformerhigh school guidance counselor from a native Saratoga family ofl2, but the name Six Sisters and Six Brothers was a bit unwieldy.
While the house is not the “high Victonan” of some Saratoga properties, it’s not without its touches: natural hard-woods, tiger oak door and mantle, stained glass, and some antiques.
