The main structure—built in 1911 for a wealthy Scranton family—and adjacent carriage house have four working fire-places, original stained-glass windows, and comfortable country furnishings. Two rooms have whirlpools and one has a fireplace. There are some views of Broadhead Creek (room 2 overlooks it). The property covers only 4 acres, but it is surrounded by 400 acres of privately owned forest. Guests are free to roam the long, wooded trail, which leads to a 50-foot waterfall. For dinner, the nearby Pine Knob Inn or the Homestead restaurant in Cresco is recommended.
