The Inns at Doneckers is a group of four turn-of-the-century brick Victorian houses that are part of the “town within a town” tourist attraction developed by Bill Donecker. The complex includes a department store, a noted French restaurant, and a warehouse mall of artists, crafts people, and art galleries called Art-works. The inns are furnished with French and American antiques, and an-tique hooked rugs hang on the stenciled walls. In the bedrooms you will find sinks in reproduction Victorian vanities, upholstered headboards, and fresh fruit. Some suites have fireplaces and/or whirlpool baths. Doneckers is neatly packaged; you never have to get in your car. But if you should venture forth, the authentic Amish countryside is only minutes away.
