This Colonialtavern and shuttered field-stone inn in the heart of New Hope was established in 1722. Gwen Davis has been the innkeeper here for more than 10 years. Wide hallways lead into spa-cious bedrooms with four-posters and Victorian and Colonial reproductions. Lace curtains and baskets offlowers fill the deep-set window embrasures that overlook the village’s main thoroughfare. The tavern has a Colonial fireplace, a dartboard, and restored 18th-century murals of theatrical scenes. A wall of stained glass gives a Victorian elegance to the Garden Dining Room. A huge canopied patio encourages a booming summer business. High chairs, booster seats, and special children’s menus make this a good place for families. The Logan is within easywalking distance of all area sights. Gwen, a longtime resident who has worked with the historical preservation society, willflllyou in on local lore and nearby attractions.
