Wedgwood pottery, oil paintings, handmade quilts, and fresh flowers are everywhere in the sunny interior. The parlors in each house have coal-fed fireplaces and plush Victorian sofas and chairs. The windows are covered with lace swag curtains. Persian rugs lie on hardwood floors. Each house has bedrooms with bay windows, brass and four-poster beds, and Victorian antiques. The circa-1890 carriage house has a small sitting room, a glass-enclosed porch, a kitchenette, and a four-poster bed in a loft overlooking a small deck. It’s a private retreat that’s ideal for reading a novel, or maybe writing one.
