The 1817 Historic Bed & Breakfast is ideal for parents and alums visiting the University of Virginia, since the campus is just a block away. The Federal-style town house, built by James Dinsmore, one of Thomas Jefferson’s craftsmen, was just the historic gem that interior designer Candace De Loach was seeking when she came to the area in 1992. Raised in Savannah, with parents inthe antiques business, Candace used her background in Southern hospitality and decorating to create an eclectically furnished inn connected to her antiques shop.
